Our Vision

Founded by Dr. Dimple Kariya, The Unplugged Self, aims to carry a strong commitment to dispelling social stigma surrounding mental health, we strive to foster candid discussions, increase awareness, and provide inclusive assistance. Our objective is to foster an atmosphere characterized by empathy and acceptance, wherein people are encouraged to approach us for support without hesitation. Our objective is to establish a connection that transcends the divide between silence and assistance, cultivating a community that appreciates and promotes the welfare of all individuals.

Our Philosophy

At the Unplugged self,  we are of the opinion that every person has the potential to live a life that is both satisfying and meaningful. This is not determined upon the individual reaching the imaginary state of "complete healing," but even as they struggle with difficulties and make strides towards a more purposeful existence. Our comprehensive range of counseling and psychotherapy services is meticulously crafted to guide our clients in unlocking their inherent potential. We aim to empower them to attain their aspirations, fostering a life harmonized with their deepest values and enduring priorities. Through compassionate support, we strive to facilitate not just recovery but the ongoing journey toward a more meaningful and enriched life.

Our Approach

The typically established parameters of mental health are transcended by our approach, which takes into account both the mind and the body. This approach embraces a holistic perspective on mental health. Every member of our team of therapists has received extensive training in a wide variety of evidence-based therapies, each of which is designed to assist our clients in reaching their full potential in terms of mental health. The acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) approach, which is a transdiagnostic and process-oriented psychotherapy method, is a fundamental component of our understanding and competence. To empower individuals on their particular journeys to mental health and holistic well-being, we are dedicated to providing interventions that are both effective and individualised based on their specific needs.

About the founder and lead psychologist Dr.Dimple Kariya

Dr.Dimple Kariya works ONLY at The Unplugged Self. Dr.Dimple is a dedicated Mental Health professional with over 10 years of experience in psychotherapy and counseling across diverse age groups and settings, including clinics, schools, and online platforms. My specialization lies in facilitating meaningful change in clients' lives through in-depth exploration of concerns and empathetic listening.

M.A. in Applied Psychology from Manipal University Jaipur (Awarded Gold Medal for Excellence in Post Graduate Studies).

B.A. in Psychology Honors from Loreto College Kolkata.
